Disney's Minutemen Review
Disney Channel's first television movie for 2008, Minutemen, shines through as a surprisingly smart and entertaining film.
The made for television movie, "Minutemen", features three high school friends (Jason Dolley of Disney Channel's hit comedy series, "Cory in the House", Nicholas Braun from "Sky High", and Luke Benward).
What would you do if on your very first day of high school you suffered a humiliation that lasted till your senior year?
If you are Virgil and Charlie you invent a time machine that enables you to go back and prevent the humiliation that began it all. Thus begins the formation of the Minutemen. The last to join the group is Zeke, the master of the metal and builder of the Time Machine. The Minutemen are able to go back in time and change/prevent events so that others will not have to suffer through embarrassing situations. It doesnʼt take long before the students take notice and start talking. In the meantime, the Feds notice unusual events and begins to investigate. The Minutemen soon learn that you shouldnʼt mess around with time. The race begins to save the world!
This movie is a comedy Sci-Fi flick that appeals to everyone. It could be taken as "silly" in some spots, but not over the top. It certainly has its funny moments, a small touch of romance, and the adventure of movies like "Sky High".
It's great to have yet another movie that the entire family can enjoy together once again.
