Finding Nemo

They've done toys, they've done bugs, and they've done monsters. The latest entry into Walt Disney Pictures' Pixar 3D feature film library goes where no computer animation has gone before; to a land "down under". Finding Nemo is a tale of undersea adventure set amidst the beautiful Australian coral reefs but there is nothing "fishy" here.
The bright, colorful computer animation of the appropriately cartoony undersea world will immediately wow you with its attention to realism and detail. The animators even went so far as to add sea silt floating around in the water, an effect that makes the 3-Dimensional undersea realm seem all the more real and convincing.
We are introduced to Nemo (voiced by Alexander Gould), a young clown fish ready for his day of school. His father, Marlin (voiced by Albert Brooks), has protected Nemo all his life and is hesitant to let him go out on his own to learn about the wilds. Nemo, trying to assert his independence, swims out to "touch a boat" and is caught by the humans. Having already lost his loving Clown Fish wife, Marlin takes upon himself to rescue Nemo any way he can.
His adventures lead him to meet Dory (voiced by Ellen DeGeneres) a forgetful fish who will do anything to help marlin, even if she forgets who she is every once in awhile. The Dory character is a highlight of the movie with memorable lines and lots of "what are we doing?" type gags.
Finding Nemo Crush There are some great set pieces throughout the movie including a run in with a herd of Jelly Fish and a hilarious troupe of "fishaholic" Sharks who have committed never to eat fish again. The smell of fish blood leads one of them to hit a downward spiral and at this point his mates call for an "Intervention!" The sea turtle, Crush, that Marlin meets is sure to inspire plenty of surfer speak with his cool attitude and memorable lines: "Grab shell dude!"
Everything seems to work well in this movie, from the beautiful animation, the memorable characters and lines, and even the underlying message about humanity's effect on nature. Without a doubt Finding Nemo is a work of incredible talent and craftsmanship which your family will enjoy over and over.
