Walt Disney World's Downtown Disney Virgin Megastore To Close

Downtown Disney, at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, will be losing the Virgin Megastore location that has been located there for years. Simon Wright, Virgin Entertainment Group CEO, made the announcement on Friday at their corporate offices in Los Angeles. Due to mass closures, approximately 100 corporate employees will lose their jobs as well as hundreds of retail workers. The cuts are due to the economic times, as well as the emergence of online businesses such as iTunes and Amazon.com as music retail giants.
Other Virgin Megastore locations include New York City, NY and San Francisco, CA.
