Disney Finally Releases Hannah Montana: The Complete First Season on DVD

Finally after teases of various Hannah Montana "mini-DVD sets", from the smash hit show Hannah Montana from the Disney Channel, Walt Disney Home Entertainment is finally releasing Hannah Montana: The Complete First Season on Disney DVD.  The DVD set includes for the first time all 26 episodes from the first season, and the set comes together in a special four-disc Collector's Edition - featuring commemorative packaging and an exclusive collectible keepsake (which is quite amazing I might ad!).

Miley Cyrus stars as the fourteen-year-old pop superstar with a double life.  She is joined by Emily Osment, Jason Earles, Billy Ray Cyrus, Mitchell Musso and Moises Arias as her friends and family. At home and school, she's Miley Stewart, a typical teenager, but when the lights go down and the curtain goes up, she emerges as the glamorous and talented Hannah Montana. Having the "Best of Both Worlds" is a complicated proposition, and keeping her identity under wraps, leads Miley and her friends into some hilarious capers as she tries to balance her normal life with her rock star persona.

The Disc's themselves are presented in the normal television aspect ratio of 4:3.  Hopefully by season 2, Disney will start releasing them for widescreen television in 16:9 amaphoric, but one can only dream.

The extras on the set are a bit on the slim side, but the ones offered are surely "Hannatastic"!  The special features include a video features that includes Miley Cyrus giving you a tour of her hometown, as well as a Hannah Montana performance, and pop up trivia on certain episodes of the show.

This DVD set is sure to be a blockbuster seller, given the superstar status of Ms. Cyrus, and the clever writing of Hannah Montana.  This is a must-own for t'weens, adults who are fans of the show and also collectors (since this will definitely be seen in years to come as a true Disney Classic).
