This is one of my favorite resorts on Disney property. The theme is unbeatable! My mother and I booked a savanah view room which was amazing. We were on the first floor, so the animals were right below us. We opted to skip the parks at times just to sit on our balcony and enjoy the view! The only thing that I know some people (including my father) would complain about, is the only transportation for this resort is the bus system, which wasn't at all bad when we were down there. I highly recommend this resort!

We loved the Savannah View Rooms, the restaurant "Jiko", the music, the people.... in short we loved itall. We've stayed there three times now and would go back again and again. It is definitly worth the extra money though to get the savannah view room. Our first stay we didn't, and man did we regret that. The Lobby will have you starring, awe struck and speechless. We've enjoyed three meals at "Jiko" and everything was delicious! One of the things that I enjoyed the most about the food there is that since it's generally African cuisine, it's not food you can find at your local steakhouse. While I very much enjoy that kind of food, when I go away on vacation, I want something different. I am never disappointed! Yup, waking up with a giraffe or an ostrich outside your window is a thrill, but there's a lot more to AKL than that!

As Florida residents we booked Deluxe accommedations at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Mysteriously our reservations disappeared. It ruined my little girls 4 year old birthday. In addition every thing at Disney is so commercialized I reccomend you seek real experience. You will walk away with more from a real experience then you could ever possibly get at Disney. Don't buy the hype, buy a real vacation, unless you like spending your vaca in a line with junk food. Imagination is more than what is put in front of you, it is what makes your life great. So pick a great vacation instead of a fake fantasy. I hope Magical Mountain(this forum) has the integrity to post reviews both good and bad
