Reviewer: Todd Murphy, Cincinnati, OH, USA We stayed at Old Key West on 4/27/08 for the second time, however, this was our first time in a studio. We found the studio room to be very roomy. OKW studios are the only studios at Disney that have 2 non-fold-out beds. The studio featured a microwave oven, small refrigerator, small sink (besides the bathroom), and a closet with a safe. We found the resort to be quiet and pleasant. We had a view of the golf course, and our room was located on the second of three floors. The drawbacks of this resort are that all but two buildings do not have elevators, and that the resort is very spread out, thus making for long walks to the bus stops. I recommend a car when staying here. One of the many good points is that you can get your refillable mug refilled at the snack shacks at the quiet pools, as well as the main house. Transportation worked pretty well; buses to the parks, and boats to Downtown Disney. Overall, this is a very good place to stay, and we look forward to staying here in the future.

Reviewer: Austin, Boston, MA, USA Old Key West is arguably the most unique resort at Walt Disney World. The room sizes of the resort are much more fit for long stays than any of the other resorts in the Walt Disney World property. It also is much more relaxing than staying at the Board walk, for example. Old Key West is more like a nice little town unlike the Board Walk which seems to relate to the hub of a city.

Reviewer: Laura, Bangor, Maine, USA We've stayed at Old Key West many times since we became DVC members in 1993. Its great that we can get a studio for 3 of us now, but have the flexibility to get a grand villa for 12. We've found that the one-bedroom is the perfect size for most of our trips. The full size kitchen really helps make this place "home" so we can eat breakfasts in the room.
The only disadvantage to the resort is its size. While there are 3 pools at the resort, its very convienient to stay within short walking distance to the Hospitality House, Olivia's and the main pool. Once the pool's new waterslide is open, this place will be even better!
Also, we enjoy that there is a number of activities to do at the resort, from renting bikes or boats to the many children's activities and games. It's nice to relax at the resort in the afternoon before returning to the parks, but the activities will still keep you busy. You can easily spend the whole day relaxing here and no one in your family will be bored. Another huge DVC advantage is that you can pool hop to other resorts!
