Youth Activities on The Disney Cruise Line

There are many types of adventures and activites aboard the Disney Cruise Line for young ones in your family to enjoy!

Disney's Oceaneer Adventure: Participation Details and Special Requests

Disney's Oceaneer Adventure provides unique programs and experiences to meet the needs of four different age groups: 3-4, 5-7, 8-9 and 10-12.

Participation details include:

• Completely potty trained (no pull-up diapers).
• Able to interact comfortably within our counselor to child ratio groups of 1-15 (ages 3-4) and 1-25 (ages 5-12).
• Able to interact comfortably with peers of their own physical size and age surroundings.
• A child may participate in an older age group if he/she is within one month of the minimum age for that group. For example, a 7-year old may join the 8-9 group if he/she is within a month of turning 8 years old.
• Parents and guardians are welcome to accompany their child at any time.

Exceptions that may prevent participation include:

• A child who shows symptoms of fever, vomiting, diarrhea, unexplained skin rash, discharge from the nose or eyes, or has any other contagious disease or illness.
• A child who becomes disruptive within the group. Should this occur, it may result in the child not being able to participate in youth activities without a parent or guardian.

Special requests that we are unable to accommodate include:

• A child who requires one-on-one care.
• A child or adult who wishes to participate in an age group much yourger/smaller than physical age/size. For example, a 10 year old is not permitted to be with the 5-7 age group.
• A child who needs the attention of a counselor with special training.

• A child who needs counselor-assisted medical attention.

Each child will need to be registered for the cruise. Just confirm your child's participation at the open house, which is held during embarkation. At that time, you can meet the trained counselors and explore the exciting spaces that were designed just for children. Be sure to pick up a copy of the children's edition of the Personal Navigaor, highlighting the week's programs.

During the open house, you'll also be issued a pager for the duration of your cruise, so you can easily be contacted if the need ever arises.

Disney's Oceaneer Club – Deck 5 Midship (Ages 3-7)

For 8-12 year olds, there's a private laboratory filled with wacky inventions and opportunities for exploration. Buzz Lightyear himself is perched atop the high-tech self-play computer station. Nearby, children will find a video wall with play controllers and their own special music lounge with headphones and comfy seating.

Common Grounds – Deck 9 Midship

This is a New York – style coffeehouse, the perfect place for teens to hang out with new friends. Be sure to pick up the teen edition of the Personal Navigator for information on all the cool teen programs available.

Flounder's Reef Nursery – Deck 5 Midship (Ages under 3)

Your little ones will be "under the sea" and part of our fun at Flounder's Reef Nursery, our group center for children 12 weeks – 3 years of age.

Participation Details

• We so not provide baby-sitting in Guest staterooms.
• Reservations are taken on embarkation day at Flounder's Reef Nursery, Deck 5 Midship. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-service basis, based on sitter availability. In order to accommodate as many families as possible, we may limit the number of multiple requests per family.
• The fee is $6 per child per hour; $5 per additional child per hour, 2 hour minimum required.
• Open each evening and selected times during each day.
