Disney Cast Member Passes Away from Accident at Disney's Animal Kingdom

A Disney cast member, Karen Price, passed away Thursday evening after a tragic accident where she fell this past weekend from a platform on the "Primeval Whirl" attraction at Disney's Animal Kingdom. She was 63 years old.While there is no official cause of death yet, injuries price suffered as a result of the fall are believed to be the culprit. Price fell after stepping on to a restricted area of the platform and was hit with a moving car. She fell and hit her head on the tracks. Her autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow. The Occupational Safety and Heath Administration and the sheriff's office were both at the scene of the accident on Friday to investigate.
"Our sympathies are with the family tonight," said Jacquee Polak, Disney spokeswoman. "We offer them our support during this difficult time."
