Disney Unveils New Hawaii Disney Vacation Club Resort

A model of the new Disney Vacation Club Resort, in Hawaii, was unveiled last week at Kapolei Hale, in Honolulu's city hall.The newest resort will offer 350 hotel rooms and 480 villas for vacation club members. It will be located on 21 acres at the Ko Olina Resort & Marina in West Oahu. Features will include two towers, gardens, pools, water slides, a fake volcano caldera, spa, banquet and meeting space, and wedding facilities.
Present at the unveiling was the chairman of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, Jay Rasulo, Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann, City Councilman Todd Apo, Ko Olina developer Jeff Stone and Ko Olina resort executive John Toner.
No information was released as far as pricing on rooms or what the project's estimated cost will be.
The Disney resort is scheduled to open in 2011.
