Disney's Davy Crockett, Fess Parker Passes Away

Fess Parker, TV's legendary "Davy Crockett", has passed away today. He was 85 years old.
Parker's family announced that the actor died of natural causes.
Parker played the famous King of the Wild Frontier in the 1950s for the popular Disney television program.
Parker also played the father in Old Yeller, and Daniel Boone for NBC.
After retiring from acting in the 1970s, he opened a very successful winery and resort in Santa Barbara, California.
