The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Provides the Perfect Getaway for Every Type of Vacation
When most adults want to go away for the perfect getaway without their children, The Walt Disney World Resort is one that rarely crosses most of the world's mind. Such excuses in the past that have come up have been, "It is only for family's or children", or "Even though I like Walt Disney World, I want to relax on vacation not run around everywhere." If you have ever had thoughts like that, then the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin is your answer -- a perfect getaway for any age!
The Resort, designed by internationally acclaimed architect Michael Graves, is an award-winning resort that typifies the Disney tradition of lighthearted fun and entertainment known as "entertainment architecture". "The exterior of both the Swan and Dolphin were designed to echo the tropical Florida landscape, as well as the fun and whimsy of the nearby Walt Disney World theme parks," says Graves. "The artwork is an integral element of the grand scheme, infusing the resorts with a fantasy aura that appeals to guests of all ages."
Statues of the resorts' namesakes sit atop both the Swan and Dolphin. Each of the two 56-foot tall mythical dolphin statues and two 47-foot swans, weigh 60,000 pounds. These statues are works of art that represent classical and contemporary symbols of water, chosen by Graves to provide personality and character.

From the moment you pull up to the entrance of the Dolphin and the Swan, you know you are not at a normal Disney resort. From the grandiose entrance to the amazing lobby, you know your vacation has just become magical. It is all-interesting to see form the outside that you can still see where the monorail was originally going to be passing through the hotels.
Aside from being the perfect location for walking to Disney's Hollywood Studios or the Epcot them park, Disney's Swan and Dolphin is a vacation destination in it's own right.
The resort hosts amazing accommodations which include a spacious room with what I can only describe as the "perfect bed", a great spa, Mandara's , that I personally can spend the rest of my life in, amazing nightlife, and not one, but over three of the best restaurants on property -- Todd English's bluezoo (Dolphin), Shula's Steak House, The Fountain (Dolphin).
If you want an evening out without the children, the resorts have accommodations for that as well, Children can join others their age at Camp Dolphin, the resort's year-round summer camp for children ages 4 to 12. After a day at the theme parks, the camp offers fully supervised programs: including arts, crafts, movies, board games, video and arcade games, nightly-themed activities with prizes and souvenirs, a Disney movie and even a special dinner program. Hours of operation are extended based on need, and the cost is $10 per child, per hour. If you choose to eat at one of the resorts fine resturants then your children can stay for free in the camp while you dine.

Every need from dining, taking care of your children, and even activities can be found directly on property.
The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin is the perfect getaway for any age or family and should definitely be a stop on your next Walt Disney World Vacation.
