Brandon, MI, USAAnother classic Disney ride featuring some of the best animatronics I've ever seen. The pirate with the hairy leg over the bridge is my favorite.

John & Dawn X, New York City, USAWe have been on this ride approximately 30 times in the last 6 years! The "New" Version of Pirates is A+++. The smokey waterall is awsome! Jack Sparrow A+++ and the New soundtrack is fantasic. The sound system really sounds great as well! The "New" Pirates ride perfect....the designers were able to add new additions to this theme while continuing to keep the "Magic" of the original....A must see!

Eddiemak, HI, USAthe ride was much the same as before with a few really cool exceptions. the smoke waterfall that you go through and the addition of jack Sparrow were nice improvements. I hope they keep updating the ride.

Kara, USAI thought the Pirates of the Caribbean at Walt Disney World (unfortunatly) was my LEAST favorite. I go to Disneyland in Anaheim EVERY year, and there, Pirates is one of my favorites. At Walt Disney World, I wasn't pleased with this ride. I felt that the ride was WAY too short, and that alot of the sections at Dsneyland, were not there at Walt Disney World. There was also not very many drops as there are at Disneyland. If their was ONE ride that I would say needed work, it would be this one. But everything else was GREAT!

LuAnn, Missouri, USAWow! They have changed it way too much. I was very disappointed and my 10 y/o wasn't impressed. This used to be fun and entertaining but now I wouldn't go again. Bummer.

Harold Combs, Reston, VA, USAThis is a poor shadow of the original version. It has been changed to be politicaly correct in that the pirates no longer chase the women and there is little of the exciting faux violence that the original had. I must say that the version in Disney Paris preserves much of the original excitment

Marcho Chacon, Boca Raton, FL, USAIt?s cool, atmospheric, and just a tiny bit edgy (skeletons, women being auctioned off in the town square, flowing rum, and burning buildings).
The women (being chased by randy pirates and sold as chattel to a chorus of ?We kidnap and ravage and don't give a hoot.?) inspired some controversy from various quarters. Disney, in a re-vamp of the ride (which added some modernizing upgrades, like flowing alcohol) gave the running women trays of food. Maybe the pirates are gluttons. Maybe they?ve got several things on their minds.
Finally, it must be noted that fittingly, as the first ride to include a gift shop at the end, Pirates has one of the coolest in the park. From fake blunderbusses (hey, where?s my laser death-ray from tomorrow land) to plastic hooks and baseball caps with skull and crossbones, it?s a must-stop for taking back some of yer own booty (Arrh).
