Although it is short, this is a quick look at the history of Norway. Trolls and vikings dominate the story, making this the most popular attraction in the World Showcase.

Pretty good ride. Liked the wind and the drop downhill I think it was backwards?! It was basically a log flume ride with good themes.

This has to be one of my favorite rides at Disney World. I do agree it is a little too short but everything else is awesome. I wouldn't really suggest bringing little kids on it though A++++++.

Magical Mountain Staff Review
Maelstrom is a short ride and one with limited areas of excitement. The beginning reminds me of Spaceship Earth with a very nice Viking prologue. The climatic sea-storm and the troll forest areas are very short lived, and the ride is over very quickly. Once you disembark your boat at the sea-side village you might run into the un-disney-like problem of waiting for the movie doors to open (which result in a period of time wherein you can examine the work the Disney Imagineering did with the mockup village). It's my opinion that this ride is one to be visited every few years. --Nathan M Rose
