Goofytoo, Atlanta, GA, USAThis will be the last value resort stay for my family I am afraid. The Pop Century was well themed and the staff was very accommodating, but that is where the good times end. To start the lines were very long at the front desk check-in and at the concierge. The CM's were very nice once we finally made it to the desk. The gift shop was packed out all the time, as was the food court, and we looked for a new resort t-shirt to commemorate our trip and all we found was a tie dyed t-shirt that was $28!!OUCH!! The parking was not even close to the room we were in so it took quite some time to get everything unloaded and in the room. There was a foul odor outside of our room the entire length of our visit(mildew and feet!) The walls were very thin as we heard doors slamming, lawn equipment, people outside, toilets flushing, showers running and so on. The maids came in unannounced on several occasions including one time when we had the PRIVACY PLEASE sign on the door and once when our daughter was asleep alone for some extra magic hour restoration time. We were just trying this value resort thing out for the first time but, unfortunately, it will be our last. We just love the quiet and individual attention that the moderate and deluxe resorts provide. Plus there are other perks you do not receive at the value resort when staying at moderate and deluxe. For instance, you get in room package delivery at all moderate and deluxe resorts; at the value resorts you have to go to the gift shop or front desk for purchases you made in the parks. We were just glad that we spent most of our vacation time at the parks and not at the resort. Lesson learned.

Jimmy, Staten Island, NY, USATWO YEARS AGO WE HAD STOOD AT THE GRAND FLORIDIAN WHICH WAS A MAGICAL EXPERIENCE. NOW WITH LIMITED FUNDS AND A LAST MINUTE DECISION TO GO TO DISNEY. WE STOOD AT THE POP CENTURY RESORT. WE PAID A LITTLE EXTRA TO GET A ROOM CLOSE TO THE LOBBY. WE WERE EXPECTING THE WORST BUT WERE SURPRISED THAT WE WERE TREATED BY THE STAFF JUST AS GOOD AS THE FLORIDIAN. THE LOBBY IS HUGE AND THE VIDEO ARCADE ROOM WAS A PLUS FOR MY YOUNG SON.THE FOOD COURT WAS LARGE AND WE WERE ABLE TO FIND FOOD AT ALL TIMES. THERE ARE THREE POOLS LOCATED IN THE HOTEL. ONE IS SHAPE LIKE A BOWLING PIN.THIS IS A FAMILY FRIENDLY PLACE AND IS VERY CLEAN AND COLORFUL. SO PICTURE TAKING IS FUN. WE HAVE SEEN THE ALL STAR RESORT AND THE ALL STAR MUSIC AND MOVIES AND THE POPS IS THE BEST. YOU CAN NOT BEAT THIS LOCATION AT THIS PRICE.

Sharon, Flat Rock, MI, USAWith the amount of time you are spending at the parks, you do not need anything more than this hotel. We spent 5 nights there in January, and LOVED EVERY MINUTE of it!!! The Pop has a great variety of food (all counter service or snacks, no table service) and souvenirs. We found the room to be more than sufficient. I appreciated that the sink and mirror were outside the bathroom. It made our mornings go faster as I could be getting ready as my husband was showering.
As far as the property being difficult to carry your luggage around, we never had to deal with that. Magical Express delivered our luggage to our room while we were at the park. Upon check out, we arranged to have the luggage picked up from the room and stored while we were enjoying our last day at the park. Easy and stress free. We loved it!!!
The only complaint I would have is that the bus stops for Pop Century were basically the furthest away from the park exits, but then again, it is the value resort. I would not hesitate to stay here again the next time we go back.

Stacy R, NE, USAI just spent a week here and would probably never go back. The good parts of the resort are that it revisits many things you may have forgotten from your childhood. The look of the resort on the outside with the gigantic potato heads, walkman's, foose ball table and so forth are awesome indeed. The rooms though are extremely small. I woke up everyday with my back hurting from the awful bed as well. The bathroom is part way open so that you have no privacy to get ready in the morning if you are rooming with other people. The mirror is on the outside with the sink from the bathroom. The shower never had hot water all week either. The food at the resort was not too bad. They head a nice variety of shopping at their "POP souvenir store." I would not stay there again though. If you are lugging a lot of luggage with you it is not fun to lug it all around the different hotel buildings to go check out that's for sure. If you like to walk...A LOT this is the resort for you.

Millie, West Chester, PA, USATrue, rooms are small, but this is a BUDGET resort. Kinda like a college campus. Our room was fine for 2 parents + 2 young kids. Decorating theme and 70's music got on my nerves after 2 days, but kids love it and you can't beat the Disney system & all the perks (extra hours, park transportation, airport pick up). Our flight was delayed and we didn't get in until midnight. We were able to get right on a Disney bus and get to hotel. Only snag was it takes 3-5 hours for your luggage to get to hotel (we were prepared for this - carry-ons with pajamas & toothbruch and next days' clothes).
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

T Green, Fort Worth, TX, USAThe accommodations were nice, nothing fancy a good place to sleep. The parks and food were excellent. My only complaint was the busing system. We waited for hours to get a bus in the morning and in the evening. This really needs to be addressed. Also there needs to be a disabled person's shuttle system set up along with checks for true disability. Too many people are taking advantage of the system. Waiting 30 minutes for the bus driver to load 2 scooters and then the family members get on and fill the bus. This happened too many times and needs to be regulated. There were no Disney personnel at the bus stops. Also two women on scooters ran into a crowd of children at MGM, they had no idea how to operate the scooters and were going so fast that they could not stop. Please change your regulations regarding the usage of scooters and wheel chairs. We had a wonderful time and would love to come back. Thanks.

Laura Martin, Stokesdale, NC< USAWe stayed in a handicapped accessible room due to my husband's disability. The room was extremely small for three people. We had problems with the bed being too low for my husband, but the staff would not be of any help. The staff overall was very unhelpful. You could get no help with luggage even with my husband in a wheelchair and lugging around a six year old. The staff seemed to think their job was to play with the children and talk among themselves only. Don't expect any special treatment or even any decent treatment at this resort. Everything is expensive, the food, the souveniers. I came away with the feeling that "The happiest celebration on earth" meant the Disney stockholders only.

Brenda, Colfax, WI, USAI cannot say enough about the Pop Century!! We were there 1/29/06-2/3/06 and it was wonderful! I can't see a better place to stay with the kids! The theming was wonderful, very neat! The 3 pools were nice. The food court is a great idea, the refillable mugs were awesome! The food is reasonable and there's enough variety! I've heard complaints about the rooms, no refrig, etc. but it's your basic hotel room.., as a family of 4 it worked just fine! The transportation was awesome, never waited longer than 5 minutes to go anywhere!! We paid the little extra for a "preferred room location" and it is definitely recommended! We were on the lower level, pool side, in the 60's bldg, right next to the main bldg--so nice! And noise was NOT a problem! :-) I would definitely recommend this resort to friends and I plan to stay there on our next vacation!!!

Mark, Hamlin, PA, USAI stayed at POP November '05 and I'm returning March '06. I have stayed at Wilderness Lodge, Port Orleans, Contempory and find POP a very comfortable resort...You only sleep in the room anyway. They were very clean and well maintained and cast members were GREAT!
Food court was nice. Over all I really enjoyed it. After all it is a "value" resort. Transportaion was pretty good and the buses go directly to the various parks or Downtown Disney/Village. Of course they are farther away than the $$ hotels at the parks. As an annual passholder I got a great price for March (cheaper than hotels off property).
Overall for family or just a couple POP is a great value, like I said, your only sleeping there and maybe getting a bite to eat. You can't go wrong staying on property. ENJOY!
