All star music resort was the fanciest resort but we loved it. The rooms are the perfect size for a family of 4 but I'm sure theres room for more than four! the swimming pools were great in the shapes of a piano and a guitar! Plus they were open all the time! The refillable drinks were fab! I had chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast every morning in the children's mickey shaped take away plates! The pizza service was also great but we didn't expect the pizzas to be that huge!

I loved it and I'm going back! The food was great(try the waffles with the whip cream and strawberries I don't even like whip cream but it was so good!) It was the perfect location although you will feel lazy not walking as much when you get home. I loved the pool! I only swam in the piano so next time I will try the guitar. My friends and I thought the resort was amazing. However the the service was only a 6 out of 10. Housekeeping was just not up to par with what I expect. She didn't leave fresh towels, or take dirty ones half the time and didn't vacuum when she could see there were chips on the floor (I am picky since I am a house keeper), but other than that you will love this resort!

I have stayed at ASM 4 times, the first being shortly after the resort opened. Three times I have stayed in the Calypso section. The latest was September '06 with my sister. We had a room that was handicap-accessible due to a mix up with our reservation (which the CSR corrected quickly and with out question after I produced evidence that I had requested and paid for a room in one of the Preferred buildings.) The first time we stayed, we had connecting rooms with my parents...just what we requested. The resort was brand new and met all of our expectations. It was my first experience staying "on property" and I've never gone back to staying "off". I stayed once in the Jazz section, and that was great, too. Other experience was a very quiet room on the back side (view of the parking lot at All Star Sports, nicely camouflaged by trees and shrubs)of Calypso. The only drawback I've ever experienced in staying at ASM was that during 2 stays when we had to travel during my youngest son's Spring break, there were large groups of cheerleaders staying there also. They were not disruptive but the sheer volume of them in the food courts at times made it a bit hectic and crowded. On our 2000 trip to WDW with my oldest son and his wife, we stayed at Dixie Landings (now part of Port Oreans resort. While the property had a more upscale ambience than the All Stars and the rooms wer a bit larger, I didn't think that it was worth the difference in price to stay there versus the ASM. I had thougt that because Dixie Landings had a full service restaurant, we could eat a full breakfast before hitting the first bus to the park, but did not realize until our first full day there that the restaurant didn't open until well after the time the first bus left for the parks. So we got all our breakfast food from the food court there, just as we had done at the ASM on previous visits. I am more of a theme park commando visitor than one to lounge around a resort, so I really feel that the ASM suits my style just perfectly and I would recommend it to anyone who would be happy with a cheery, clean and comfortable, though smallish, hotel room with food court accomodations only. There are so many other options for dining at any mealtime all over WDW thathis does not have to be a "minus". I am planning my next stay, November, '07, at ASM with my husband , older son, his wife and my grandson...they will have a family suite and we will have a standard room...looking forward to introducing my grandchild to all of the magic and to the All Star Music resort!

We made the mistake of staying in January, along with MANY Cheerleaders, and soccer players. What is probably very enjoyable at other times, turned out to be screaming adolescents till 3 in the morning, not enough staff to cover food court or gift shop, and a lot of rude kids!! I'm an avid Disney fan, who visits Disney World regularly, but check what groups are registered at your resort before booking!!! Rooms are nice for the price, and pools are great!!

We stayed in the All Star Music Resort in October 2001 and had a wonderful time. The hotel room is similar to what you would find at a Hampton or Comfort Inn, although the details are much nicer and more Disney-esque. The whole complex is very large, and you can get plenty of exercise walking depending on what building you are in. We stayed in Broadway, which was very close to the piano pool, but quite a stroll from Melody Hall. The building was very interesting with the tophats and canes and theater facade. Also, there was a NYC taxi parked in the "street" right outside our room. The food court was very busy during meal times, and the food was what you would expect from a food court--typical "fast-food" quality. The refillable mugs were great because you could drink all of the soft drinks, coffee, and hot chocolate you could hold for one flat price. There is a pool bar which serves adult beverages. My wife and I enjoyed a margarita and a pina colada while our daughter splashed around in the pool. The gift shop is also a typical Disney gift shop--lots of pins, shirts, hats, snow globes, etc. I would highly recommend the All Star Resorts to anyone who wants to stay in a Disney Hotel but doesn't want to, or can't afford to stay in the more expensive resorts. The atmosphere at the All Star Resorts is pure Disney, and you won't feel like you are missing out on anything . Besides, you will be spending the majority of your time at Disney either sleeping or visiting the parks.

We stayed in the All Stars Music Resort in January 2003. We mainly picked this resort for the value price, and I was pleasantly suprised at how nice it was. We've always stayed in a moderate or deluxe, but wanted to try a value. We were not disappointed:) The theming is awesome, the giant cowboy boots and the walk-thru jukebox were really cool. The main pool was really neat it had a display in the middle with the 3 Cabarellos, the girls loved it, the only thing was they have no water slide or hot tub:( But nevertheless we spent time there, the girls had fun splashing around there and in the nearby kiddie pool. The Intermission Food Court is roomy and had all the basic food you would need, such as pizza, burgers, and pasta. They also had baked goods and other conveniece foods there. We also used their pizza delivery some evenings, they do this from 4 til Midnight. The rooms are smaller than other resorts we had stayed at but they were very clean and comfy. The bathroom area also seemed smaller to me than other resorts we had stayed at,but it too was very clean and workable. We never had a problem with towels, shampoo, or soap-these were always in full supply:) I thought the rooms would be decorated very loudly, but I was pleasantly suprised again, they were simply decorated at not at all outrageous. The bus system was great also, I had heard that it would be bad, but we never had a problem getting whereever we wanted to go:) All in all we had a very pleasant stay and enjoyed our trip:) I'm glad we had an oppurtunity to try the All Stars for ourselves, and checked out the value resorts. They are great resorts for great prices. I would stay here again or maybe try another of the All Stars if we were on a budget.
