Missi Baucom, Tullahoma, TN, USAMy family of four stayed at CBR from the end of Sept. through the first week in Oct. 2006. We absolutely loved it. Beautiful, quiet paths to our room, quiet pools and spacious rooms. My 9 year old daughter loved looking for the lizards outside on the grounds. We stayed in Barbados and it was a very nice stroll to the food court. We rode the bus every day and never moved our car until we checked out to leave. The staff was very nice and the Mousekeeping was great. They left us towel animals every day. The only thing I would say was a negative was the line for checking in. We got there about half past noon and it took almost an hour, maybe a little more. I would recommend CBR for families or couples. We would definitely stay there again!

Todd Murphy, Cincinnati, OH, USAWe stayed at the Caribbean Resort on 8/11/07, and found it to be just as wonderful as the first time we stayed there. We checked in around noon, and our room was ready. Although we had a deep discounted rate, they put us in a lake view room. This was very cool, as when we looked out our window, it was if we were looking at a smooth ocean in the Caribbean. The room was colorful and clean. The building was nestled in a very tropical setting with palm trees and other growth everywhere. What I really liked about the Caribbean resort is its quietness. That fact made for a very nice experience. Since we had stayed there before, we knew that we would have a hike to the food court, so that was really not an inconvenience for us, as we also had a car. The rooms are slightly larger that the other moderates, but otherwise, pretty much the same layouts. There are plenty of landscaped walkways, as well as a bridge over the lake to the food court area. We did not use Disney transportation, so I really can’t comment on its’ effectiveness. I would stay there again in the future. Note that this resort is very spread out, and that having a car can be a big plus.

The Broadbent Family, UKWe recently stayed at the Caribbean Beach resort and we couldn't fault it in any way. We enjoyed it so much that we have booked to go again next year. We stayed in the Barbados area and we have requested to stay in that area next year.
Keep up the good work, Disney team!

DISNEY~PRINCESS4, Lombard, IL, USAFirst of all I have to say after 13 trips to WDW and 11 stays at the Caribbean Beach Resort, Iam still not tired of this wonderful resort. There's so much to offer here. The resort is very large and built around a lake. There is a path around the lake for walking or biking, there are also various types of boats to rent (speed, paddle etc.) I love the decor, it completes the whole idea of going to Florida in the first place. There's a food court and a sit down restaurant. The food court is decent food at a resonable price. I would compare it to food courts in the malls around my house. It's nice to run down for a quick bite for breakfast or lunch. The Cabana bar is awesome, the drinks are great, it's nice to sit by the pool at night and have a relaxing tropical drink after a full day at the parks. We have never had a bad experience at this resort yet. We always stay in the preferred room locations so it's close to the Old Port Royale, where the food court, main pool and all the excitement is. It's especially kid friendly. We have two girls now 20 and 13 and they grew up at the CBR, they never want to stay anywhere else. We have stayed at the Wilderness Lodge twice before, although it's a beautiful resort we still like coming back to the CBR. The cast memebers are great and will help you in any way. Can't wait till March for our 14th trip! woo hoo...

Mike , New York, USAThis was the first time staying at on property, so here are my thoughts. I traveled with my wife, 2 1/2 yr old son, 3 month old daughter and mother in-law. We stayed in Jamiaca 44, which I found to be very conveinient and centrally located. I can see how it would be a different experience the further you stay away from the main food court area, or if it were rainy. The food court fare was just that, "Food Court Food" so no real surprises. Shutters was on par with an "Applebees" it was not bad.
We used the Magical Express(Fantastic!!), The shuttles worked great, never a long wait to any area. We used a double long stroller, so you must fold it up when getting on and off the bus, not a big deal.
Pools were great, open late and heated. You get a good view of Illuminations and a Magic Kingdoms fireworks. Overall, Very Clean and nice tropical setting. I would try another resort, Just for a change of scenery, but I would recommend this resort.

Linda N, IN, USAData of Stay: December 18-24, 2004. Our family of four did not like Disney's Carribean Beach Resort. Its just plain too big and spread out! We never made it to the food court as it was too far and inconvenient, and forget about heading towards the Front Desk--it was about a mile. Carribean Beach Resort reminds me of a "Florida Condo"--pretty but not very Disney-ish at all. During our visit we didn't see any Disney staff members at all--not a groundskeeper or housekeeper. Lots of people love this place... not us.
We have stayed all over Disney and our favorite Moderate Resort is Port Orleans French Quarter. Even the room farthest out is only five minutes from the bus stop and food court.

M Wilson, Toronto, CanadaWe stayed at this resort the second week of July. We had adjoining rooms with our grandchildren, and we were very pleased with the rooms. We walked to Old Port Royal for our breakfasts, but we had the option of taking the internal bus. Our rooms were always cleaned early in the morning, and we were very pleased with the service.
We enjoyed the pool in our area, and the walks along the lake. We would return to the resort again, and recommend it to others!

Dareece, Eugene, OR, USAThis is where we stayed for our 3-night land/4-night at sea cruise package. I LOVED this hotel. It had a sandy beach surrounding a man-made lake (no swimming, but you could rent boats) My husband and I sneaked out to the beach after the baby fell asleep - older daughter "watched her". We had wine and snacks and sat out onthe "beach" watching the water lap at the shore and listen to the various night sounds - crickets, some birds and night life across the lake at the bar/pool - We still had peace and quiet - LOVELY!

John LaTour, USAWe spent 9 days at CBR. The rooms are a bit small but very functional. After all how much room do you need to sleep and shower anyway? We loved the Caribbean theme and the grounds were well maintained and clean. The pools were nice and provided a great break from the day. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We needed extra blankets and pillows and we got them right away. Old Port Royale is a good food court with a decent selection of generally good food. It is small in the seating area, and since this is a very large resort, I can see how it could get crowded during peak times, in peak seasons. I am not sure why the other poster dinged the resort. It is a Disney Moderate resort, so it is isn't going to be a 5 star type of place, and since most people are in the parks, it would be unusual to see people milling about during the day. Our bus stop was just a few yards away and we never once had to wait more that 10 minutes for a bus. I have made several trips to Disney's resorts and this is now our favorite Moderate resort. It doesn't beat out the Boardwalk as my favorite, but I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Jennifer Sharpe, AustraliaThe Carribean Beach Resort looked good from the outside. But the rooms were just a smallish room, nothing special. And the atmosphere of the resort is bland. I hardly saw anyone around and when I did they were unfriendly. The restaurants and food hall were generally unhealthy and overpriced food. I would stay at a non-Disney resort next time.
