This is by far our favorite resort at WDW! My husband proposed to me in front of the fireplace and we returned to honeymoon and have been many times before and since. What can you say? The lobby is outrageously breathtaking, the pool is gorgeous. The theming of this hotel definitely lives up to Disney standards - from the geyser out back to the bubbling brook in the lobby to the amazing, soaring fireplace with rustic wood rocking chairs in front. From a practicality standpoint, we find the boat launch system very convenient. You can either take it directly to the MK or over to the contemporary where you can hop the monorail! The cast members are always wonderful and go above and beyond (my husband asked for champagne glasses when he was going to propose, and they provided balloons and candy afterwards as a congratulations!) I just can't say enough wonderful things about this resort - it is pricey, but so worth it! And if you are a Winnie the Pooh fan you will love that this resort is themed around the "Hundred Acre Wood National Park" so lots of Pooh and friends stuff around!

I just returned from a week at the Wilderness Lodge. It was the first time I stayed here (or at any deluxe resort), and it was the most wonderful resort. We had a lovely room over looking Bay Lake, and could see the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom every night and the Electrical Water Pagent. I found that I did not feel as if I was staying in WDW while there, but rather at a secluded resort somewhere. Mousekeeping surprised us by making animals out of our towels. Whispering Canyon Restaurant is very good, but very loud and rambunctious. (Don't ask for Ketchup! Trust me on this one) The small "food court" is rather good as well. And everyone who worked there could not have been nicer or more friendly. I am dying to go back there again and again.
