This was our first trip "home" as Disney Vacation Club Members. We stayed in the Congress Park Section of Saratoga Springs Resort. We were in the last building closest to Downtown Disney, 3rd floor, studio room. We had a great view of Downtown Disney and watched the midnight fireworks at Pleasure Island from our balcony. It was a short 5 minute walk from our building to Downtown Disney - try the Earl of Sandwich restaurant!! The only problem we had was a wait of at least 20-25 minutes for every bus we took from the Resort! The busses were not crowded at all- in fact 90% of the time we were the only 4 people on the Saratoga bus! This is a very large resort and is quite spread out - so it is a hike from the Congress Park section up to the main pool - but we found out that you can hop on any bus and they will stop there for you! I wish they had Palm Trees there, but the theme is centered around Saratoga NY. Being from Mass. I like to see the Palm Trees, not see the trees I can see every day back home! All in all this is a very nice resort, just a few kinks that need to be worked out! We will stay there again.

My husband and I became members site unseen. Since we have 3 little princesses and love to travel, what better vacation to take with our little family. We were not disappointed. Our villa was gorgeous. We had a view of downtown disney which was breathtaking especially the fireworks. The pool was lovely. Our girls loved the waterslide. It is a gorgeous resort. The staff is very warm and welcoming. Saratoga is tranquil so if you're looking for a lot of hoopla it's not for you. It is a welcome change from the action of the parks.

Spent 5 days at Saratoga Springs (12/27/04 - 01/01/05). Fabulous. As usual, cast members were very helpful. My husband enjoyed the spa experience immensely. Rooms were wonderful. Since there are only 4 buildings open at this time, the buses were never crowded, nor the restaurant and pools. We were able to view the fireworks shows from MGM, EPCOT and Downtown Disney from our balcony. We were in a studio - just fine for a small family. Next time I would do a 1 bedroom, however, for a bit more space. My son, and two nephews spent a night in the arcade, all by themselves. No one else around. The bus situation needs to be worked out a bit since we ended up on buses for Old Key West a few times because of a shortage of buses. We spent much more time getting to SS on those nights, nonetheless, the buses are the way to go. We were a short 5-10 minute walk from the MarketPlace -- very convenient -- not for the pocketbook, however. Much too easy to spend. My suggestion, go to Saratoga Springs now while it is still relatively unknown. Wonderful experience, fabulous rooms, and very convenient. Even during the holidays, we had no waits. Go and enjoy!

We stayed at Saratoga Springs from Nov 9th to Nov 17th. This was our first trip to our home resort and we were not disappointed. It will be a magnificent resort when it is finished. The beauty of it is it's proximity to Downtown Disney. It took my wife and I about four minutes to walk over. The boat dock will take you to Downtown Disney or orver to Old Key West. The clubhouse for the LAke Buena Vista Golf Course is located right behind the boat dock. Rooms consist of studios, 1, 2, and 3 bedroom villas. Our choice this trip was a studio. There was plenty of room for the two of us and came with refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, and hair dryer. The furnishings are first class. The majority of the rooms ahve either a water or garden view. At the present time there are four buildings completed and eight more that will be finished in 2005. I belibe there is going to be a third phase that will add an additional four buildings. The main themed pool looks like it will be freat for kids and the one completed quiet pool has a view of Downtown Disney. The food area and store are together. The restaurant specilizes in healthy fare, such as flatbread sandwiches and salads. If there is a drawback to Saratoga Springs it would probably be the limited menu. I imagine the reason for this is because of the many restaurants located at Downtown Disney. There are refillable mugs available and can be filled either at The Artist's Palette (restaurant/store) or at the "On The Rocks" bar at the themed pool. All in all we are looking forward to staying there again in the near future.
