China Overview
The China Pavilion at Epcot opened in October of 1982 and is full of tradition and beautiful architecture. Take a stroll back in time as you explore a replica of the tomb of China's first emperor or stand in awe of authentic 2,000 year old sculptures.
The pavilion features a large, beautiful Chinese gate as well as the awe inspiring Temple of Heaven. The layout of China includes traditional Chinese landscape with ponds.
Attractions
The Temple of Heaven building houses the film, "Reflections of China", which is a 360 degree film that showcases China's beauty, tradition, landscapes and architecture. The film is 13 minutes in length, and features areas such as Beijing, Shanghai, Inner Mongolia, the Hunan province, and, of course, the Great Wall.
Shopping
The Yong Feng Shangdian shop is a large department store full of all sorts of various goods from China. This store features everything from clothing, vases, dolls, statues, jade items, kitchen ware silk purses, and much, much more.
Dining
China's main eatery is the Nine Dragons Restaurant. Nine Dragons serves traditional and modern Chinese cuisine. The décor also reflects both the traditional and modern styles throughout complete with Chinese lanterns and rosewood wall panels. Some delicious entrees served here are Kung Pao Chicken, Canton Pepper Beef, Xi'An Pulled Pork, Zha Jiang Noodles and Five-Spiced Fish.
China also has a quick service restaurant, the Lotus Blossom Café. They serve favorites such as egg rolls and stir-fry, pot stickers, orange chicken and more!
