Well, I moved there in 1979 when I was 8, as well. I would've graduated from Northern Durham High School if I hadn't moved. I know where Jordan is. They had a top notch soccer program.

Just out of curiosity.... Where did you go to before Jordan. I know some people who went to elementary, middle, and Junior high with me ended up there. I went to Holt Elementary, Bragtown 6th Grade Center, and Carrington Junior High.

in '79 i actually lived in butner and went to butner-stem elementary school when we moved to durham i went to st. mary's country day school (which at the time was not a parochial school - just named after the road or something like that...) then i went to githens jr. high (yes, we are so old that back then it was called jr. high and not middle school!) and then jordan high... so i guess we weren't actually classmates - but pretty darn close!

I was back in N.C. last weekend (Charlotte) for a family wedding - it was great to be back! I didn't have a chance to go to Durham, but 2009 might bring a 20th reunion for my high school - hmmmm....

Reporting in From San Diego, CA! My fiance is from Dayton OH. We are thinking of reloating to central florida when she gets out of grad school. Celebration, FL looks awesome. Sort of a pipe dream for now, but if I were going to live anywhere other than SD, it would be there!

Heat, not really although Phoenix is out of the question. lol. Humidity and bugs? A bit more of a detraction. But to be that close to WDW would be cool and Celebration looks like a great little town!

Thanks for the welcome! I do follow sports but I'm actually a Yankees fan. It started out as a joke between my husband and I, and it just kind of stuck. I am proud of the Patriots though!
