Post here any suggestions for CD's, downloads or exercise programs that work for you at home. AND what you do to exercise at WDW.
First Idea
Each resort has a map that shows the walking/jogging map for that resort. Depending on the resort the map can be part of the regular map or separate.
POR/POFQ walking path is 1 mile long. At Riverside it starts at the Marina take the path over to FQ, when returning follow the path around the Mansions, through Alligator Bayou and ends at the Marina
At FQ it starts at the end of the path and goes straight to Riverside - you can either follow the path to the Bayou and than the mansions or mansions to Bayou.

We love to ride bikes at WDW. Port Orleans and the boardwalk are beautiful to ride around. Swimming at the resort pool is a good way to stay both cool and active.

Call me silly but we really like the wii fit at home. My husband breaks a sweat all the time with the boxing. And I feel the tummy muscles working on the other exercises. I find that with the wii fit you can cheat or you can do it. If you do it than it does give you a nice little work out. If you cheat then there is no point in turning the thing on. My kids do the jogging and just move their arms (drives me nuts) but their balance is getting better and their tummies are working on the other exercises.

There are numorous paths, walkways and roads at Fort Wilderness. A great walk/jog is the walk path to Wilderness Lodge from Fort Wilderness. Plus, if you get too tired to make the return trip, there is a bus that runs between both resorts!

I agree with the Wii games in general, which keep me up and 'running' - I would love to get the Wii Fit!
Last summer I was big into walking and jogging, sort of circuit style if you will... This summer we've spent even more time in the pool and as our younger child has gained strength and swimming ability and now swims in deeper water, I've taken to treading water! It's quite a workout! I used to follow him around with a noodle or kickboard to relax; I'm a strong swimmer and former lifeguard. Now I ditch all that and tread water while he plays! The same could be done in Disney if your energy levels allow for that. If not, even simple leg kicks and arm movements against the water's resistant can provide excellent cardio and strength benefits.

Yes Yes and YES, Chase we have the xbox360 playstation etc but the one console that goes on more than the others is the Wii, my kids love it I think its great, hell even my wife thinks its great and that is saying something! I have found it really does pull the family together as everyone can get involved unlike other game consoles.

I love the Wii. The balance games are great. I have an on-going challenge with the grandsons on the scores for some of the games.
As for Disney, one great thing I love about WDW is the walking. I can walk and enjoy my destination; get up and walk some more. I walk fast anyway so I really put the family through their paces when we are there--I'm in even more of a hurry to get to a ride, restaurant, shop---watch out!

Hey guys, I was just thinking.. and wouldn't it be awesome if Disney set up some early morning running club in the parks? Guests could come in before the parks open and jog around set trails following a C.M. I'd personally love that, it'd be an atmosphere like no other!

I really like your morning jog before the park opens idea Canuckpodperson! I would definitly participate in that! I would really love to do one of the marathons Disney has every year.
For excercise I run about an hour on weeknights, two on the weekends. It has many benefits. Running makes me feel good, relieves stress, and maybe the best of all I never worry about what I eat or count calories.
My kids like to come with me sometimes and ride their bikes while I run. My daughter Christina did that with me in Port Orleans on the bike trail.
