So come and join in the world of progress and sing along "There's a great big beautiful tomorrow, Shining at the end of every day. There's a great big beautiful tomorrow, And tomorrow is just a dream away."
Carousel of Progress History
Walt Disney's "Carousel of Progress" was originally created for General Electric Pavilion at the 1964-65 World's Fair in New York.
Walt Disney's original concept was "a show that would interpret, in an educational and entertaining way, the role electricity has played in bettering man's living conditions".
The attraction was originally called Progressland and wwith over 16 million visitors seeing the show at the World's Fair was one of the most successful and exciting attractions of the year. Progressland was brought to Disneyland in 1967 and was renamed the "Carousel of Progress". The attraction was the same as its predecessor at the World's Fair, with one exception; at the end of Act IV guests, were then treated to a view of Walt Disney's model for EPCOT.
