The Disney Tower of Terror 13K...The Magical Mountain Story Thus Far...

Many years ago there were jogging trails around the Hollywood Tower Hotel at MGM Studios. In September 1994 the jogging trails were shut down shortly after up and coming movie actress Shirley Malone and her husband mysteriously disappeared.
Every October the trail reopens for The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 13K, and Nathan and the Magical Mountain team will be retrace the path that Shirley and her husband took many years ago.
What nightmares will await The Magical Mountain team?
Will they suffer the same fate of the Malones? What would make them want to participate in a race they may never come back from? The simple answer is to raise funds for a very special organization called Give Kids The World, (GKTW).
Give Kids The World Village (GKTW) is non-profit resort in Central Florida that creates magical memories for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. Families are provided accommodations at the GKTW whimsical resort, attractions tickets, meals and more for a cost-free week-long fantasy vacation.
You can help the Magical Mountain team by sponsoring them by heading to our official Give Kids The World Fundraising Page located at www.firstgiving.com/magicalmountain.

Where Will My Donations Be Going?
Through the support and compassion of local community business leaders and their vendor resources, the GKTW Village Vision will soon become a reality. Construction on 21 villas in the new cottages and castles theme style design is projected to begin in 2007. The Village is expanding from 102 to 196 villas to meet the needs of their special guests.
A new two-story Administration Building will create a "main street" feel to the Avenue of Angels, giving it a more open feeling while preserving its charm. The first floor will house storefronts with a variety of venues, everything from a salon to a camera shop. These enhancements will allow us to bring added services and value to our guests' experience. GKTW staff offices will be housed on the second floor overlooking the Avenue. The upcoming Library of Love will also be situated on the first floor of the Administration Building. Filled with historical information about The Village, this will be a special place for Families to learn about Give Kids The World and its journey since 1986. Work is projected to begin in April 2008 and a completion date has been set for March 2009.
Magical Mountain's community member donations will be going towards construction of new Villas in this area. Some Villa samples are displayed below:
